The second Uzbek-Turkish educational forum was held in Samarkand

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 13-14 November, the second Uzbek-Turkish educational forum was held in Samarkand.

The event was organized under the leadership of the Chairman of the Republican Council of Higher Education of Uzbekistan, Odil Abdurakhmanov, and the Chairman of the Council of Higher Education of Turkey, Erol Ozvar.

The forum brought together heads of about 100 universities from Turkey and Uzbekistan.

Odil Abdurakhmanov emphasized that strategic relations between the two countries are rapidly developing, particularly in the field of education.

More than 100 cooperation agreements have already been signed between educational institutions of Uzbekistan and Turkey.

Erol Ozvar expressed confidence that the forum will further strengthen ties in the field of education.

During the forum, a memorandum of understanding was signed between YÖK and the Ministry of Science, Education and Innovation of Uzbekistan in order to improve bilateral cooperation in the field of higher education.

As part of the plenary sessions of the II Uzbek-Turkish Educational Forum, a number of issues of cooperation in the B2B format were discussed with the participation of rectors of more than 60 higher educational institutions of the two countries.

As a result of the negotiations, documents were signed on strengthening cooperation between universities of the two countries in the educational and scientific fields, training highly qualified teachers and staff, exchange of professors, masters and students, sending teachers on short-term internships, implementing joint scientific projects, establishing mutual cooperation in the field of engineering and technology.
