Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The second summit of strategic dialogue between the countries of Central Asia and the Gulf countries is planned to be held in 2025 in Samarkand. This was stated by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhrom Aloev.

On 15 April, a meeting of the heads of the ministries of foreign affairs of the countries of Central Asia and the Persian Gulf took place in Tashkent.

At the summit, the heads of foreign affairs agencies discussed issues of cooperation in political, economic, investment and other areas.

They also exchanged views on the situation in Afghanistan, the conflict between Israel and Iran, as well as other current topics. The parties emphasized their uniqueness in strengthening interaction based on common values and mutual interests.

Following the meeting, it was noted that Samarkand in 2025 will host the second summit of strategic dialogue between Central Asia and the Gulf countries.

The meeting of the heads of the foreign ministries in Tashkent served as an important stage in preparation for this event.

It should be noted that the first summit of strategic dialogue between the countries of Central Asia and the countries of the Persian Gulf was held in July 2023 in Jeddah.
