Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 15 April, the second meeting of the foreign ministers of the Strategic Dialogue “Central Asia - Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf” began in Tashkente.

Delegations from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan are participating in it as guests of honor.

The agenda of the event includes the progress of the implementation of agreements reached within the framework of the first summit of the heads of state of Central Asia and the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, held on 19 July 2023 in Jeddah, prospects for the development of cooperation in political, trade, economic, investment, transport and communications, cultural and humanitarian fields, as well as in the field of security and environmental protection.

There will also be an exchange of views on preparations for the next Summit in the “Central Asia – Gulf Cooperation Council” format in Samarkand in 2025.

Following the event, it is planned to adopt a Joint Statement.
