Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- JSC V/O Isotope (a scientific division of the state corporation Rosatom) shipped the first batch of lutetium-177 produced at the Rosatom enterprise to the People’s Republic of China.

“The supply of Russian-made lutetium-177 opens up new opportunities for cooperation with our Chinese partners. We hope that in the future this will allow us to achieve an increase in trade turnover between our countries,” said Maxim Kushnarev, General Director of JSC V/O Isotope.

Lutetium-177 is one of the most promising radionuclides, on the basis of which radiopharmaceuticals have already been registered for the treatment of neuroendocrine tumors and prostate cancer. Among the partners of JSC “V/O “Izotop” are 170 foreign companies located in 50 countries and about 600 organizations in Russia, including medical institutions, industrial enterprises and scientific organizations.

The state corporation’s research activities are aimed at creating new energy solutions and innovative technologies that improve people’s quality of life. The basis for carrying out research activities is the nuclear centers and scientific institutes that are part of Rosatom. This is a large and significant part of the nuclear industry.

Russia is consistently developing international trade and economic relations, focusing on long-term mutually beneficial cooperation, in particular in the field of supplies of radioisotope products.
