Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The vehicle fleet of the Republican Emergency Medical Center was replenished with 70 new Volkswagen Caddy cars. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.

According to the Ministry of Health, the vehicles were produced at the Jizzakh Auto plant and delivered in accordance with a bilateral agreement.

New ambulances will be distributed among the branches of the ambulance center in Samarkand, Jizzakh, Ferghana and Tashkent regions, as well as Karakalpakstan.

According to the department, the Republican Emergency Medical Center received 685 Volkswagen Caddy ambulances in 2023 alone. In February 2024, 30 Volkswagen Caddys were delivered.

Deliveries of Volkswagen Caddy cars began in September 2021. Then the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed to supply 1000 Volkswagen Caddy cars to the regions by October.
