Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyeb signed a law, which introduces amendments and additions to some legislative acts.
According to the amendments to the Law "On Licensing, Permitting, and Notification Procedures," the provision of services for organizing and conducting Umrah events has been designated as a separate type of licensed activity.
In this regard, the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan has been designated as the authorized licensing authority in this sphere.
Furthermore, penalties for legal entities for violations related to obtaining a license for organizing and conducting Umrah events have been set at 200 sizes of basic estimated value (68 million soums).
Additionally, according to the amendments to the Law "On State Duty," the state duty paid to the Committee on Religious Affairs for licensing activities related to organizing and conducting Umrah events has been set at 10 sizes of basic estimated value (3.4 million Uzbekistani soms).
The law will come into force three months after its official publication date.
