Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 28 May 2019, the Decree of the President the Republic of Uzbekistan №DP-5731 “On amendments and additions to some acts of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was signed.
The document entered into force from the date of its signing. According to the Decree, the List of countries is expanded (up to 77), whose citizens are able to obtain tourist visas on the basis of simplified procedures at the Consular offices of Uzbekistan within two office days (apart from the day of receiving documents) and abolishing the requirement to provide a tourist voucher or invitation of legal or physical entity in Uzbekistan to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At the same time, it is necessary to remind that citizens of those countries are also able to enter the Republic of Uzbekistan on the basis of electronic visa via www.e-visa.gov.uz, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
In addition, according to the Decree, foreign citizens are able to stay in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan with an electronic visa up to 30 days from the date of entry within a 90-day period of its validity. That is, the 30-day period of foreign citizen’s stay in the territory of the republic starts from the moment of crossing a State border of Uzbekistan, including entry territory of the republic on the 90th day.
The List of countries, whose citizens are able to obtain an electronic entry visa (e-visa.gov.uz) or tourist visas on the basis of simplified procedures at the Consular offices of Uzbekistan, can be found on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the section "Visa of the Republic of Uzbekistan".
