Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Justice registered the resolution of the board of the Central Bank “On introducing amendments and additions to the Regulations on the procedure for making electronic payments through the interbank payment system of the Central Bank”.

In accordance with these changes and additions:

– it was determined that JSC “Central Securities Depository” and JSC “National Clearing Center”, along with banks, will be considered participants in the interbank payment system, whose activities include carrying out cash settlements and clearing for transactions with securities, as well as the procedure for connecting them to the payment system;

– based on international practice, to effectively regulate the liquidity of commercial banks, additional time is provided in the interbank payment system for payments on money market transactions between commercial banks (+30 minutes) and on monetary transactions between the Central Bank and commercial banks (+ 60 minutes). At the same time, the time for making customer payments remains unchanged;

– in addition, some regulations were brought into line with acts of current legislation and the requirements of modern banking practice.
