Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government Decree approved the “Administrative Regulations for recognizing persons in need of care, approving a plan and monitoring the provision of social services and assistance on an individual basis.”

In accordance with this regulation, a procedure has been established for identifying people in need of outside care, assessing their living conditions, and including elderly people in need of outside care and persons with disabilities in the register of single and lonely elderly people living alone.

Steps have been identified for developing an individual plan for the provision of social services and assistance, as well as monitoring the effectiveness of the services and assistance provided.

Social workers of the Inson social service centers in mahallas, visiting nurses and chairmen of self-government bodies of citizens carry out systematic work to identify those in need of outside care. To enter data into the register, they fill out a form at the Inson center.

Persons requiring outside care are identified in the process of performing the duties of social workers, visiting nurses and chairmen of citizens’ self-government bodies. This can happen as a result of door-to-door visits or based on requests from elderly people, people with disabilities, their legal representatives, as well as other individuals and legal entities sent to the Social Protection Information System.
