Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed the Ministry of Finance to issue and place sovereign bonds during 2019.
This is stipulated by the Presidential resolution “On forecast of the main macroeconomic indicators and parameters of the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2019 and budget guidelines for 2020-2021.”
According to the document, the Ministry of Finance in 2019 should issue and place sovereign bonds of the Republic of Uzbekistan at a fixed coupon rate of at least US$500 million with a circulation period of 5 or more years.
Earlier it was reported banks JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank, Citi and Gazprombank were authorized to organize the placement of bonds of Uzbekistan in international debt markets.
