Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Law "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan" was signed by the President.

The law introduced a number of changes to the Tax Code.

In particular, in accordance with article 99 of the Code, it is established that the state tax committee has the right to provide the opportunity to pay taxes and turnover tax in installments in accordance with the established procedure without providing property as a pledge, without a surety or bank guarantee (with the exception of income tax, social security tax, income tax at the source of payment).

In addition, according to the annex to article 100, interested persons who have been carrying out activities for more than 3 years, who have paid taxes on time, but whose financial situation does not allow them to pay off their tax debt on time, may be given the opportunity to pay taxes in installments.

According to the changes made to Article 378 of the Code, the taxpayer’s income allocated to education in professional (vocational schools, colleges, technical schools) and higher educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan (own, as well as the education of children or husband (wife) under 26 years old age) are not subject to taxation (previously, this benefit only extended to higher education).
