The number of victims of the emergency with the Su-34 aircraft in Yeysk has increased to 13 people

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The death toll from the crash of a Su-34 military aircraft in the residential area of Yeysk has increased to 13 people, Assistant of the Russian Minister of Health Alexei Kuznetsov said.

He said that the rescuers had completed the analysis of the rubble, during the search and rescue operations, the bodies of ten more dead were found.

“As of 06:00 Moscow time on 18 October, 13 people died as a result of the crash, including three children,” Kuznetsov said.

He added that, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, 19 people were injured, four of the victims were taken to the Krasnodar regional hospital, the rest are being treated at a local hospital. The provision of assistance is under the personal control of the head of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Murashko.

Previously, Murashko claimed three victims. The head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation Alexander Kurenkov stressed that there was no explosion after the plane crashed in Yeysk, the fire arose as a result of a fuel spill.

The Russian Investigation Committee opened a criminal case. Russian leader Vladimir Putin instructed to provide all necessary assistance to the victims.
