Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan Fariddin Nasriev arrived in the capital of Iran, Dunyo news agency reports.

Before that, from 2018 to 2023, he headed the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in the city of Kazan (Russia). He is 42 years old. He graduated from the Tashkent Financial Institute and the Tashkent State Law Institute (now a university).

He began his career in 1999 in the banking system and since 2003 in various structures of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including diplomatic missions in Belgium and NATO. In the Consular and Legal Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he rose through the ranks from the position of 3rd Secretary to Deputy Director.

He speaks English, French, Russian and Farsi.

Fariddin Nasriev replaced Bakhodir Abdullayev, who served as ambassador to Tehran in 2015-2023.
