The most branded market in Europe accepts Uzbek products

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to France at the end of November 2022 gave impetus to deepening the multifaceted economic partnership between the two countries. The intensification of economic activity with the states of Europe, in particular with France, opens up large-scale opportunities for the textile industry of Uzbekistan.

When talking about France, many people think first of all of high fashion and shows, as well as famous exhibitions, which include Premiere Vision in Paris, the world capital of the fashion industry.

Première Vision is a global event bringing together 50 years of fashion professionals to grow their businesses, and a unique event that highlights new products and innovative solutions from suppliers around the world and supports designers and creatives in sourcing their future collections.

This year, with the assistance of the Uztekstilprom Association and the Export Promotion Agency, three large enterprises of the country - Ideal Garments, Osborn Textile and BCT - had the opportunity to participate in the Première Vision with their stands for the first time.

It should be noted that, in accordance with the current legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the “Single Window” service operates in the “Uztekstilprom” Association, which, among other things, provides services to assist textile and clothing and knitwear enterprises to participate in international exhibitions of the industry.

The products of Uzbek textile workers aroused a certain interest among industry professionals. Thus, Ideal Garments presented their products to the ODCP brand, came to an agreement to expand the supply of fabrics for the Italian brand Carnet, and signed an agreement with Sabastian Pеgani for the supply of their products.

During the exhibition, 11 leading manufacturing enterprises of the textile and clothing and knitwear industry of Uzbekistan held B2B meetings with brands, retailers and buyers located in Paris and Lyon, with samples of their products.

In particular, on the sidelines of the exhibition, with the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in France, the Uztekstilprom association organized a business forum in Paris and Lyon with the participation of such brands, retailers and educational institutions in the region as Lacoste, Sandro, ODCP, Lener Cordier, Texeurop, Hermès, Blanc d’Intérieur, Cotton and Silk, Alm-Halbout, Dualest, Globalliances, SubdeMod, where a number of trade agreements have been reached.

In particular, the Sandro brand expressed its readiness to give its first order to the Iftikhor Kiyim Sanoat enterprise, Yustex reached an agreement with the French buyer Davose on the sale of knitwear on the local market.

In particular, Lener Cordier is ready to consider the possibility of relocating its production to Uzbekistan, with the most famous world brand Lacoste, a videoconferencing conference will be organized in the near future to discuss cooperation issues, TexEurop expressed interest in expanding trade relations with enterprises in the industry of Uzbekistan.

The delegation of Uztekstilprom, following negotiations with the management of the exhibition, agreed to expand the participation of Uzbekistan in the following events, while in order to promote Uzbek textiles on the French market, it was proposed to organize a large trading warehouse.

During the visit, the Uzbek textile delegation visited one of the largest manufacturers of fabrics and ready-made clothes in Europe, Deveaux, which includes Deveaux, Armand Thiery, Ecce and Jacqueline Riu. The company’s management expressed interest in samples of terry products provided by the national "Art Soft Holding", "Aisha Home Textile" and "Sam Rafoat Tekstil", for the study of which they will place orders with these enterprises. In addition, as part of the exchange of experience, the French side expressed its readiness to support the proposal to improve the skills of Uzbek specialists at their enterprise. The SubdeMod business school made the same proposal to improve the skills of our country’s specialists in short-term and long-term courses.

In addition, representatives of the Lyon film industry took part in the event, and in order to widely popularize the textile network of Uzbekistan, a proposal was made to film a documentary and widely promote it in Yervop.
