Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On additional measures to ensure traffic safety during transportation by vehicles” was adopted.

From now on, when buses are equipped with devices for monitoring the mode of work and rest of drivers (tachographs), night transportation of passengers on intercity, interregional and international routes without the accompaniment of internal affairs bodies is allowed.

From 1 January 2024, timesheets, waybills, ticket accounting sheets will be filled out based on the tachograph indicators.

Violators of the regime of work and rest will be subject to administrative punishment, the corresponding draft law will be developed by the end of the year.

Also, construction materials, agricultural products, industrial and food products, construction and household waste, and other bulk cargo (except for hot asphalt, bulky and heavy cargo) transported on flatbed and dump trucks of categories N, O3 and O4 must be covered with a tarpaulin (density not less than 660 g/m2) or PVC coating (density not less than 900 g/m2).

A similar requirement is established for rail transportation within the country (when transporting coal, coke, ore and ore concentrates in open-type wagons).
