The Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan denied information about the provision of paid services from 1 July

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Health denied reports that citizens who did not register at a polyclinic in the process of introducing state medical insurance mechanisms would be provided with medical services for a fee.

Information has spread on social networks that employees of polyclinics require citizens to transfer their personal data in connection with the transition of medical institutions in the city of Tashkent to the state medical insurance system.

“Reports that citizens who have not registered in a polyclinic in the process of introducing state medical insurance mechanisms will receive medical services for a fee do not correspond to reality,” the press service of the Ministry of Health reports.

According to regulatory documents, the medical care provided to the population within the guaranteed package will be provided absolutely free of charge.

It is noted that from 1 July 2023, the introduction of state medical insurance mechanisms is envisaged in the city of Tashkent.

For this, all conditions were created for the complete digitalization of medical institutions. In particular, 71 polyclinics, 12 multidisciplinary central polyclinics and 40 hospitals of the capital were provided with computers and necessary medical equipment.

After the launch of this system, citizens will be able to receive a guaranteed amount of medical care within the framework of the state budget. That is, complete information about the diagnosis, medical history, treatment of each citizen (patient) will be entered into the electronic database, on the basis of which the doctor will take the patient under observation and take treatment and prevention measures.

In addition, patients will be able to receive medicines electronically. As a result, queues at family clinics will be prevented and the number of visits will be reduced.

To do this, citizens must go through identification once when they see their family doctor. At the same time, in order to enter data into the Electronic Polyclinic system, citizens must provide identification documents.

“If on the phone a person, posing as an “employee” of the polyclinic, asked you to send copies of your passport and passports of your family members, as well as your children’s metrics, you must refuse and not send copies of documents. Employees of the medical institution should ask you by phone to set aside time and come to the clinic in person to confirm their passport data.

Attachment to primary health care institutions is carried out by an adult. Attachment of minors can be carried out by their parents or other legal representatives.

The Ministry of Health asks residents of the capital to come in person with an identity document to territorial family clinics in connection with the transition of medical institutions in the city of Tashkent to the state medical insurance system.
