The Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan and Amazon Web Services sign a Memorandum of Understanding

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). 

According to the MoU, the parties intend to evaluate the possibility of organizing joint discussions in the field of digital transformation of the public sector in Uzbekistan, digital literacy, knowledge and best practices in the field of digital skills and research, innovation, fundamental policies and regulations that support cloud technologies.

MoU collaborations may include sharing knowledge and common Amazon Web Services (AWS) guidelines for AI/ML education and research.

In addition, both sides will exchange experience and best practices as part of industry consultations related to the national strategy "Digital Uzbekistan - 2030" and legislation on cloud technologies and data. AWS will provide advice, suggestions, and advice based on AWS global best practices.

Director of IT Park Farhod Ibragimov, noting the importance of signing the Memorandum, emphasized the relevance of the implementation of joint projects:

“During meetings and negotiations with Amazon representatives, we realized that we have many similar goals and ambitions. We started our dialogue with the support of Shokhrukh Juraev, CFO of AWS in the EMEA region. And today has become another significant date in the history of IT in Uzbekistan.

Cooperation with companies such as Amazon is launching a new wave of IT project development. We firmly believe in the potential of partnerships and believe that joint partnership efforts will allow Uzbekistan to reach a new level of development of the IT sector and solve a number of problems.”

“Uzbekistan is entering a new era of innovation, when entrepreneurs, public organizations and enterprises share the vision of a modern digital society. We are pleased to have signed this Memorandum of Understanding with the government of Uzbekistan and look forward to supporting this vision through initiatives that will stimulate innovation, promote the development of the digital economy, support the modernization of outdated IT systems and develop digital skills for future generations,” Franco said.
