Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 18 May, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant General Bakhodir Kurbanov, received a delegation headed by the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Colonel General Ruslan Djaksilikov, who arrived in our country on an official visit.

First, an official meeting ceremony was held with the participation of the Guard of Honor. The military orchestra played the national anthems of the two countries.

At a meeting held at the Central Office of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant-General Bakhodir Kurbanov greeted his Kazakh counterpart and emphasized that the friendly military relations established between the two countries over the years of independence are developing and strengthening every year.

Also, the Minister of Defense of Uzbekistan, noting the successes achieved in bilateral cooperation, stressed that close friendly relations have brought Uzbek-Kazakh cooperation to a new stage of strategic partnership and strengthened allied relations.

The defense ministers of the two countries expressed their proposals for the further development and strengthening of mutual cooperation in the military sphere and discussed plans for the future.

Further, members of the military delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan visited the Victory Park memorial complex and laid wreaths at the Ode to Fortitude monument.
