Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 25 June 2024, the XX meeting of the Council of the Interbank Association of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) was held in Astana.

The meeting was attended by representatives of financial institutions of the SCO member countries, including the Indian Infrastructure Finance Company, Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC, State Development Bank of China (SDB), Eldik Bank OJSC of Kyrgyzstan, Habib Bank Limited of Pakistan, Russian State Development Corporation VEB.RF”, State Unitary Enterprise SB of Tajikistan “Amonatbonk” and JSC “National Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Uzbekistan” (“Uznatsbank”).

As part of the event, the National Bank and the State Bank of Russia signed a loan agreement to attract a credit line in the amount of 2 billion yuan.

The funds will be used to support small and medium-sized business projects.

The loan will also help ensure employment and improve the standard of living of the population.

The loan will also strengthen trade and economic relations between Uzbekistan and China.
