The Mazowieck-Uzbekistan economic forum was held in Poland

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - As part of the visit to Poland of a delegation of representatives of the business community of Uzbekistan, headed by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vakhabov and the khokim of Tashkent region Zoyir Mirzaev, a joint business forum was held in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship.

The event was attended by more than a hundred representatives of Polish and European business, as well as over thirty Uzbek entrepreneurs.

The forum was opened by Marshal of the Masovian Voivodeship Adam Struzik. He noted that Poland and Uzbekistan are similar in socio-economic terms and that establishing cooperation between the voivodeship and the Tashkent region will give a positive impetus to the development of bilateral relations.

Marshall emphasized that the business forum platform created a new opportunity for entrepreneurs from Mazovia and other Polish companies to develop dialogue with Uzbek partners. The marshal noted the promise of such areas of cooperation as agriculture, innovation, energy, tourism and cultural and humanitarian ties.

It was emphasized that political, social and economic changes in Uzbekistan are assessed positively in Europe, which is a signal for foreign investors. He called on European companies to develop cooperation with Uzbekistan.

At the business forum, issues of protecting the rights of investors in the legislation of Uzbekistan, conditions and preferences created for investors, as well as steps that need to be taken by Polish entrepreneurs who intend to invest in the economy of our country were discussed.

On the sidelines of the business forum, with the support of the Embassy of our country, a photo exhibition dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the birth of traveler Leon Barshchevsky “Uzbekistan Yesterday and Today” was organized.

As a result of the forum, cooperation agreements were signed between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, the Poland-Asia Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Federation of Polish Medium and Small Businesses.

As part of the forum, bilateral negotiations between members of the Tashkent region delegation and Marshal of the Masovian Voivodeship Adam Struzik took place. It discussed issues of further development of trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two regions.

The Marshal congratulated on the successful holding of the business forum, organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Warsaw and the Marshal’s Office, emphasizing that its results will serve the development of the two countries.
