Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of the National Social Protection Agency of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Security of the People’s Republic of China. The meeting marks the beginning of a new stage in bilateral cooperation in the field of social protection.

During the meeting, the parties discussed strategies for strengthening social support systems and ways to eradicate poverty. It was noted that mutual understanding and willingness to cooperate create a reliable basis for the development and improvement of programs aimed at ensuring a decent standard of living for all members of society.

The parties agreed that China’s experience in social protection, insurance and employment is a valuable resource for optimizing the social protection system of Uzbekistan, which is currently being actively reformed. Participants expressed hope for continued constructive dialogue and expanded cooperation in the field of social services and support for the population.

The issues of attracting experts to analyze the draft Law “On Social Insurance” and other regulations being developed by the agency were also discussed. It is planned to implement experience exchange programs, conduct trainings and educational seminars for agency employees.

Further joint work will allow to introduce new initiatives and achieve significant results, strengthening the efforts of both countries in social support.
