Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Issues of further expansion of multifaceted relations and promotion of joint projects were discussed during a telephone conversation between President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

The head of Azerbaijan cordially congratulated the leader of our country on his convincing victory in the presidential elections, wishing peace, well-being and prosperity to the friendly Uzbek people.

Particular attention was paid to the preparation of the upcoming summit meeting. The importance of a thorough study of the economic agenda at the level of the governments of the two countries was noted.

An exchange of views also took place on issues of interaction within the framework of international organizations, including the Non-Aligned Movement and the Organization of Turkic States.
