Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the forty-seventh plenary meeting of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the Law “On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was considered.

It was noted that in recent years the country has been implementing measures to ensure employment and reduce poverty, develop family entrepreneurship, widely involve the population in sports, and improve urban planning.

The law provides that family business entities that are not legal entities, when concluding an employment contract, can hire up to five permanent employees, and also grant the right to a participant in one family business to simultaneously be a participant in another family business.

The main goal is to provide work and create amenities for many family members looking for work in mahallas.

In addition, changes are being made to the Customs Code to provide benefits in the form of exemption from customs duties in respect of fifty percent of special sports uniforms, shoes, sports equipment, equipment and equipment imported by state and non-state sports and educational organizations for their own needs.

These changes create ample opportunities for the development of activities in the provision of non-state educational services in the field of physical culture and sports, as well as professional training of athletes.

At the same time, the senators noted that it is important to introduce amendments to the Urban Planning Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan that provide for the abolition of the powers of local executive authorities to make decisions on the construction of urban development projects.

It was noted that the Law serves to eliminate unnecessary bureaucratic procedures in the field of architecture and construction, further develop family entrepreneurship, as well as improve the material and technical base of sports and educational organizations.

The law was approved by senators.
