Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the forty-third plenary session of the Senate, the Law “On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Veterinary Medicine” was discussed.

It was noted that large-scale work is being carried out in our country to improve the system of training in the field of veterinary medicine, as well as to ensure effective veterinary control and improve the quality of veterinary services.

In this regard, there is a need to create a modern educational system for the training of highly qualified personnel in the field of veterinary medicine, as well as further strengthening the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of business entities operating in this area.

Based on this, this Law stipulates the introduction of amendments that clarify the name of one of the structural units of the State Veterinary Service, as well as reducing the powers of the chief state veterinary inspectors, their deputies and state veterinary inspectors to freely visit veterinary supervision objects.

In turn, members of the Senate, during the discussion of the Law, noted that the changes and additions being made serve to develop human resources in the field of veterinary medicine, further ensure the rights of business entities and improve the procedure for inspections carried out by state veterinary inspectors.

The law was approved by the senators.
