Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11 November 2022, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the topic: "South Korea’s experience in training competitive personnel in the field of sustainable agricultural development.”

The meeting was attended by the Head of the Human Resources Department of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Umidakhon Saidova, the Head of the Department for the Development of Organic Production and Good Agricultural Practices Anvar Djumanov, the Deputy Head Department of Horticulture, Viticulture, Melons and Potatoes Development Akmal Mirzaev, representatives of system organizations of the Ministry and project leader from South Korea, Professor of Chungnam National University Han Seok Ho, Project Manager Pyon Hye Jin and international expert on installation of laboratory equipment of Chungnam National University, Professor of Agricultural Sciences Lee Kyo Seok.

Currently, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the project “Improving the agricultural environment in Uzbekistan and training professional personnel” is being implemented between the Tashkent State Agrarian University and the Chungnam National University of South Korea. 

The project is being implemented from 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2028. In accordance with it, processes will be established to improve the agricultural environment, train professional personnel in the field, introduce an appropriate training program, create a certification system in the agricultural sector, and create an effective management system.

During the implementation of the project, a certification system was introduced at the Tashkent State Agrarian University, an educational program for training qualified specialists in the field of agriculture was developed, and laboratory equipment was updated. Currently, the university plans to equip and enrich the educational literature of developed countries.
