The khokimiyat of Andijan region and the Business Center for Economic Development of the CIS sign an agreement on cooperation in the field of labor migration

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to develop organized and safe labor migration, the Khokimiyat of the Andijan region of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Business Center for Economic Development of the CIS entered into a cooperation agreement.

The document was signed by the First Deputy Khokim of the Andijan region D. Karimov and the General Director of the CIS Business Center V. Ganin, reports the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.

The agreement, based on generally recognized norms of international law, is aimed at:

Legal regulation of labor migration processes: creating a transparent and understandable system for migrant workers.

Ensuring the protection of the rights of migrant workers: guaranteeing the social, environmental and other rights of migrants.

Overcoming the spontaneity of migration flows: creating a controlled and predictable labor migration system.

Creation of new mechanisms for organized migration: development and implementation of modern tools for effective management of labor migration.

Andijan region is one of the densely populated regions of Uzbekistan with a dynamically developing economy. Located in the east of the country, the region borders Kyrgyzstan and has significant potential for the development of agriculture, textile industry and tourism. Cooperation with the CIS Business Center for Economic Development opens up new prospects for employment of residents of the Andijan region abroad, as well as attracting investment and creating new jobs in the region.

The signing of this agreement is an important step towards creating a civilized labor market and ensuring decent living and working conditions for citizens.
