The implementation of mining activities is regulated by law

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The regulation on the procedure for issuing permission to carry out mining activities has passed state registration with the Ministry of Justice.

This Regulation determines the procedure for issuing permission to carry out and organize mining activities.

At the same time, to obtain permission, the applicant (a legal entity applying for permission for the purpose of mining) fills out an application in the information system, which is entered through the Unified Identification System (OneID).

The decision to issue or refuse to issue a permit is made by the National Agency for Prospective Projects (authorized body) within 20 days from the date of submission of the application, the specified information and documents in full.

There is no fee for consideration of the application by the authorized body. The permit is issued for a period of 5 years.

The permit is issued within one day in the form of an electronic document with a QR code applied from the day the decision is made by the authorized body.

Mining is carried out exclusively by a legal entity using electricity produced by a solar photovoltaic station, except for cases provided for by legislative acts.

Miners can connect to a unified electrical power system in cases provided for by legislation, with the installation of a separate electrical energy meter.

Violation of the legislation on licensing procedures establishes administrative and criminal liability.

Also, unauthorized connection to electrical networks, damage to metering devices, their seals, or changes in metering indicators are regarded as theft or petty theft, and also entail liability.
