Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Changes in legislation on tax for the use of subsoil are discussed at the Tax Committee with participation of the experts from the International Monetary Fund, specialists from the tax and financial sectors, the geological and mining industries, as well as Uzbekneftegaz.

The purpose of the IMF mission is to provide practical assistance to the profile specialists of Uzbekistan in the application of new norms of legislation in the field of subsoil use.

A round table is being held to discuss issues related to the new procedure for determining the tax base, the correct application of methods for its calculation, as well as the determination of deductible expenses. Also during the mission, special attention is paid to the peculiarities of calculating the special rent tax.

In addition, explanations are given on the specifics of the application of transfer prices when calculating the tax for the use of subsoil.

Foreign experts noted with satisfaction that with the adoption of new taxation standards in the field of subsoil use, the investment attractiveness of Uzbekistan has improved significantly.

During the mission, a number of seminars and master classes were organized, where representatives of the Navoi and Almalyk mining and metallurgical plants, Uzbekneftegaz took part.
