The heads of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic signed an action plan for cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic Boobek Azhikeev met in Tashkent with his colleague, Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Major General Abdulla Kuldashev.

During the meeting, the heads of emergency departments signed an Action Plan for cooperation in the field of prevention and elimination of emergency situations between the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2023-2024, which includes activities of mutual interest aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation, such as, exchange of information in the field of monitoring and forecasting hazardous natural processes, exchange of experience, carrying out preventive measures to protect the population and territories, joint exercises and training to eliminate natural and man-made emergencies in transboundary territories.

The action plan is the practical implementation of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on cooperation in the field of prevention and elimination of emergency situations, signed on 27 January 2023 in Bishkek during the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Kyrgyz Republic.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation in the field of emergency response for the benefit of the people of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
