Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The heads of states of the CIS adopted a Statement on International Relations in a Multipolar World. The document was signed at a meeting of the Council of Heads of states of the Commonwealth taking place in Bishkek on 13 October 2023. This was reported by the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.

The statement of the heads of states of the CIS Member States on International Relations in a Multipolar World proclaims the desire to transform the CIS region into a space of peace, cooperation, sustainable development and shared prosperity, confirming the openness of the CIS to broad international cooperation in accordance with international law on the basis of mutual consideration of interests and common approaches .

The document notes the importance of forming a sustainable multipolar world order and declares the intention of the CIS member states to promote the building of a secure architecture of international relations to solve problems of international and regional development.

The decision of the Council of Heads of states of the CIS provides for asking the Kyrgyz Republic, as the state presiding over the Commonwealth of Independent States, to distribute the text of the Statement to the United Nations and other international organizations.
