Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Sports Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan Adkham Ikramov is holding official meetings to strengthen cooperation with representatives of a number of international organizations within the framework of the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games Konya-2021. 

One such event was organized with the head of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Organization, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki al Faisal al Saud. It was also attended by Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee Oybek Kasimov and Chairman of the National Paralympic Committee Mukhtorkhon Tashkhojaev.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the participation of delegations in the ongoing Islamic Solidarity Games, the conditions created for athletes, and the expected results. Proposals were also considered for further strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia in the field of sports, organizing practical work on the basis of a memorandum of cooperation signed between the National Olympic and Paralympic Committees.

It should be noted that Uzbekistan is one of the largest delegations participating in these important starts of the year. Prince al-Faysal al-Saud praised Uzbeks’ opportunities

During the visit, Adkham Ikramov also reached a number of agreements on cooperation with the Minister of Youth and Sports of Turkey Mehmet Kasapoglu.
