Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Consultations between the foreign ministers of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan were held in Rome.

These consultations were organized within the framework of the III Ministerial Conference “Central Asia - Italy”.

The ministers discussed issues of cooperation within the framework of the Consultative Meetings of the Heads of State of Central Asia.

The parties emphasized the importance of further development of cooperation in the political, trade-economic, investment, transit-transport and cultural-humanitarian spheres on the basis of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership.

The ministers discussed current issues on the regional and international agenda, as well as prospects for cooperation within the framework of multilateral structures and formats in Central Asia.
