Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The VI World Championship in hand-to-hand fighting in the history of international arenas is held for the first time in our country.

Today, on 6 June, the grand opening of the competition took place. The festively started the second day of the competition gave athletes from about 30 countries of the world an excellent mood.

Today 5 final matches (3 for men and 2 for women) were held.

According to the results of the second day of the competition, our athletes won 2 gold (O. Normurodov in the weight category 70 kg, M. Kuvondikova 55 kg), 4 silver (J. Sobitov 55 kg, M. Hotamov 80 kg, N. Narzikulova 46 kg and S. Radjabov 55 kg) and 10 bronze medals (B. Atajonov 55 kg, M. Khatomov 80 kg, S. Sattarulov 90 kg, I. Kamilov + 90 kg, Sh. Zokhidova 46 kg, M. Omadova 50 kg, Z. Suyumova 60 kg , E. Shmykova 75 kg, M. Esonova 75 kg, N. Umarova +75 kg).

On 7 June, 14 final matches are planned, in which our athletes, who won bronze medals, will try their luck.
