Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 16 September  2019, a pilot project on the introduction of high-speed wireless Internet (WiFi), implemented by the Malaysian company Hadid Engineering, was officially launched in Khiva.

The khokim of Khorezm region Farhod Ermanov, representatives of Hadid Engineering took part in the launch ceremony.

This project “Digitalizing Khiva City” worth US$2 million with the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia was completed in less than 5 months. The project agreement was signed in early April of this year as part of the international investment forum in the Khorezm region.

To implement investment projects in Uzbekistan, the Malaysian side established Hadid Kazanakh LLC in Tashkent in January. The representative office of the company also began its activities in Khorezm.

Hadid Engineering intends to consider the possibility of implementing similar projects in other areas of Uzbekistan by attracting its own investments.
