The first International Geotourism Forum to be held in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 1 to 3 August 2019, the First International Geotourism Forum will be held in Kashkadarya region.

The forum is organized by the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development and the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Geology and Mineral Resources. The focus of the forum participants will be a visual study of objects of the Kitab State Geological Reserve. Founded in 1979, the Kitab Reserve is one of the unique nature conservation areas of Uzbekistan. According to the results of the study of scientific data presented by international studies of the Kitab State

The geological reserve is the only complete Etalon in the world - the standard of the Ems sole, which means one of the first monuments of the emergence of land from the oceans, land from water, scientifically confirmed by the International community of scientists, the place of life from the oceans to land.

Given these facts, the organizers of the Forum proposed the development of a special program to promote a new tourist brand: “The beginning of life. Uzbekistan. In the framework of the forum, the participants will enjoy an exciting trip around the city of Shahrisabz, a familiarization tour of the main attractions of the city.

On the second day, a trip to the Kitab Geological Reserve, a walking tour of the Emsky Tier, located in the Zinzilban section, at a distance of 3 km from the base of the Kitab Reserve, a research and development conference will be held, where scientific presentations by Goskomekologia specialists will take place.

The forum also planned to visit the Kitab latitudinal station.
