The festival "Teahouse" take place in three cities of Israel

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15-17 October, the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan jointly with the Israeli Embassy organized a festival called “The Teahouse” in the cities of Ashdod, Ramla and Lod.

The event was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Israel, Hai Davidov, Consul Salahiddin Aribkhodjaev and mayors of the above cities, as well as more than 1000 people. The festive atmosphere of the events was given by the ensemble of the State Philharmonic of Uzbekistan “Lazgi”.

The participants of the event joined the Uzbek delegation, danced to the Uzbek songs and enjoyed the festival as a whole, expressing a desire to visit Uzbekistan in the future. During the visit of the committee representatives to Israeli cities, meetings were held with compatriots. They were provided with detailed information about the reforms carried out in the country in the field of tourism development in recent years and about the created amenities for tourists. Our compatriots in Israel expressed their readiness to support initiatives to promote trips to Uzbekistan.

At the end of the event, festival guests enjoyed Uzbek and Israeli cuisine. The administrations of cities of Israel were also awarded souvenirs of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the development of tourism.

It should be noted that if the number of tourists from Israel visiting Uzbekistan in the first 9 months of 2018 was 7586, then in the first 9 months of this year their number was 11,234, showing an increase of 48 percent. Such events aimed at further strengthening the Uzbek-Israeli relations will undoubtedly contribute to the development of cultural and tourist relations between the two countries and a further increase in the number of tourists visiting our country.
