Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A powerful explosion occurred in the city of Jalalabad in eastern Afghanistan. As a result of the incident, two people were injured, Asvaka agency reports. 

It is noted that the explosion took place in the Kabul Hada block. An improvised explosive device detonated in one of the busy streets at the moment when a vehicle belonging to the Taliban militants who seized power in Afghanistan (banned in the Russian Federation) passed there.

Two victims were taken to hospital, they will receive medical assistance. The dead and injured in the ranks of the Taliban are not reported.

Earlier it was reported about an explosion in the Shiite mosque of Seyid-Abad in Kunduz province. A suicide bomber detonated an explosive device while inside a mosque. At least 150 people were killed.

Also on 15 October, there was an explosion in a mosque in Afghan Kandahar. The terrorist organization ISIS, banned in Russia, claimed responsibility for the incident. As a result, at least 47 people died, another 70 were injured.
