Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting of the delegation of Uzbekistan led by the First Deputy Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change Obidjon Kudratov with the President of the Abruzzo National Natural Park in Italy Gianni Cannata took place.

At the meeting, the main attention was paid to the issue of creating “Visitor centers” in the national natural parks of Uzbekistan, including a fauna museum based on the Italian experience.

Every year the Visit Center of the Abruzzo National Natural Park is visited by 2 million tourists.

During the meeting, the issue of creating, based on Italian experience, 8 DNA analysis laboratories in order to study the DNA of 184 species of animals listed in the Red Book of Uzbekistan as critically endangered in 7 nature reserves and 1 biosphere reserve was also discussed.

At the end of the meeting, the parties signed a memorandum aimed at developing a short- and medium-term concept of Visit Centers based on Italian experience, establishing the activities of national natural parks with the involvement of foreign specialists.

In addition, an agreement was reached to attract specialists from the Abruzzo National Natural Park to the laboratories being created in our country.
