Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the central boiler house in the city of Andijan, which was recently reconstructed using a preferential foreign loan.

As a result of the reconstruction, three energy-saving boilers made in China were installed, 28 kilometers of heating networks were laid, 373 individual heating points were created, a transformer with a capacity of 2 thousand kilowatts was installed, and a high-voltage power line was laid.

These measures made it possible to provide centralized hot water supply and heating for 271 apartment buildings and 30 social facilities in the city.

Savings of natural gas and electricity due to reconstruction will amount to 16 million cubic meters and more than 2 million kilowatt-hours per year, respectively.

The President also got acquainted with future projects for the reconstruction of 5 more boiler houses, the construction of 33 kilometers of heating networks and the modernization of heating systems of 114 apartment buildings in the city of Andijan in 2024-2026.

The head of Uzbekistan noted that it is necessary to accelerate these projects to ensure stable heat supply to the population.
