The eighth international cultural and educational forum "Children of the Commonwealth" will be held in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On the first day of summer, many countries celebrate International Children’s Day. The decision to hold it was taken in 1925 at the World Conference on the Welfare of Children in Geneva.

International Children’s Day has its own flag - these are multi-colored people (children) on a green background, which symbolizes growth and development. Children’s Day is a reminder to society of the need to protect the rights of the child, so that all children grow up happy, study, do what they love and become wonderful parents and citizens of their country in the future, the CIS Executive Committee reports.

School holidays begin on this day in many Commonwealth countries. For children, fun holidays are organized with the distribution of treats, and for adults - various conferences and events where they talk about modern threats to the younger generation and ways to prevent them.

“On this special day, we congratulate the children and their parents. We must take care of the younger generation so that they grow up healthy, happy and able to fulfill all their cherished desires. It is in our power to make their childhood bright and memorable,” said Dmitry Kobitsky, Secretary General of the IPA Council.

He also said that from 21 to 30 June, the eighth international cultural and educational forum "Children of the Commonwealth" will be held in Uzbekistan. This year it will be held under the motto: "Children of the Commonwealth": an inextricable link between times and generations." Schoolchildren and their mentors from the CIS countries will take part in it.

The guys will present presentations of national traditions and customs of their countries. A rich program awaits them: excursions, exhibitions, master classes, sports competitions, intellectual games, educational trainings, a music championship, poetry evenings, a circus show, film screenings, discos and many other events.

Participants of the "Children of the Commonwealth" forum will visit the building of the Senate of the Oliy Majilis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, where meetings with parliamentarians and representatives of the youth wing are planned.

“We are sure that at the forum the guys will be able to find friends from the Commonwealth countries, reveal themselves, show their talents and offer ideas for strengthening international cooperation,” Dmitry Kobitsky said and added that the organizers are looking forward to the participants.
