The duet Royal Cello to perform in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The French Embassy, in partnership with the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan and the Goethe Institute in Tashkent, is organizing an evening of classical music with the participation of pianist from France Maxime Zecchini and cellist from Germany Theo Bross.

The duet will perform works by the greatest composers such as Debussy, Fauré, Brahms, Beethoven, Messiaen and others. They will come to Uzbekistan with a rich program of events. They will organize two concerts in Tashkent and Nukus, and will also hold creative meetings and master classes.

The only concert in Tashkent of the piano and cello duet will be held in the large hall of the State Conservatory on 11 October at 19.00.

Maxim Zecchini (piano) is a laureate of many international festivals; he is both a performer and a composer. Since May 2022, he has organized many solo concerts in 60 cities around the world. He began his series of solo performances with a concert at Carnegie Hall in New York. His recording, in 10 volumes and on DVD, of an anthology of works for the left hand is the first in the world and received many positive comments from critics and had a wide resonance.

Theo Bross (cello) - studied cello, conducting and music pedagogy in Stuttgart, Budapest and Paris. In 1989 he received the Premio Alfredo Piatti award in Bergamo (Italy). In 1991 he founded the Pegasos ensemble, which in the same year received an award for chamber music in Carlsbad. He has released several CDs and radio recordings dedicated to chamber music of the period between the two world wars.
