Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation led by Islambek Rustambekov, the acting rector of Tashkent State University of Law, is on an official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany.

On 7 December, the delegation, which included Islambek Rustambekov, the acting rector of TSUL, Jamshidkhon Nuritdinov, the head of the department at the Ministry of Justice, Odilbek Khazratkulov, the head of the department of private international law and the representative of the OSCE office in Uzbekistan Umid Pulatov, visited the Institute of Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg and met with the representatives of the institute. At the meeting, issues of establishing cooperation between TSUL and the Institute of Comparative and International Private Law were discussed.

A round table discussion was also organized with the participation of the institute’s research staff, the draft Code of Private International Law, prepared with the support of the OSCE, was discussed, and opinions and recommendations from experts have been received on further improving the code and eliminating shortcomings.

During the visit, members of the delegation got acquainted with the library of the institute and the research activities of the institution, and an agreement was reached that books published by TSUL would be donated to the library of the Max Planck Institute.
