The diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan takes part in the international festival in Islamabad

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan took part in the festival “National dishes of the countries of the world”, organized by the Westminster School & College in Islamabad, Dunyo reports.

During the event, national dishes of countries whose representatives are studying at this school were demonstrated.

The pavilion of our country was decorated with the State Emblem and the flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan, photo banners with photographs of the monuments of the great ancestors of the Uzbek people, as well as sights of the cities of Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva.

During the event, a demonstration of documentaries about Uzbekistan was organized, as well as national music.

The guests of the pavilion had the opportunity to taste Uzbek national dishes.

The organizers of the festival and the jury noted the good organization of the Uzbek pavilion, which gave a wide picture of Uzbekistan, its cultural, spiritual, historical values and national dishes.

Diba Nazir, the director of the Islamabad school noted that the pavilion of Uzbekistan gave her the opportunity to get acquainted and taste Uzbek dishes, which are distinguished by their sophistication and calorie content. She will certainly visit the country with her family in order to see for herself the rich heritage of Uzbekistan, as well as give her children the opportunity to see the historical roots from where their ancestors arrived in Pakistan centuries ago.

“Uzbekistan and Pakistan are united by a common religion, culture and traditions, which are an important factor contributing to the strengthening of friendly relations between our fraternal countries. The leadership of Uzbekistan was able not only to preserve, but also to increase the rich historical and cultural heritage and attaches great importance to the preservation and enhancement of spiritual values, ”said the representative of the Ministry of Education of Pakistan, Muhammad Harun.

The festival was widely featured on PTV, Dawnnews, and DunyaTV.
