Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Representatives of Uzbekistan took part in a meeting of permanent participants of the IMF and the World Bank Group, which was held online.
This meeting was held within the framework of the annual spring meetings of the IMF and the World Bank Group and was devoted to discussing issues of interaction with the IMF and the World Bank in order to resolve the problems associated with the pandemic and other challenges in the region.
The executive directors of the IMF and the World Bank made presentations, after which all participants from all countries were able to ask their questions of interest.
In their speeches, representatives of the Uzbek delegation provided detailed information on the current macroeconomic situation in Uzbekistan, as well as on measures taken to mitigate the consequences of Covid-19. It was noted that the past period showed the importance of good-neighborliness in the region during the crisis.
