The Days of Romanian Cinema were held at the Tashkent Film Festival

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15-16 September 2022, the Days of Romanian Cinema were held as part of the XIV Tashkent International Film Festival "Pearl of the Silk Road".

In the capital's Magic Cinema, the audience was presented with the film "Next to Me" directed by Tedi Necula (on 15 September 2022) and the historical epic "Daki" directed by Sergiu Nicolaescu (on 16 September 2022).

The opening ceremony was attended by a large number of spectators, including representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Uzbekistan, public figures, youth and students.

Opening the event, the Ambassador of Romania to the Republic of Uzbekistan Daniel Cristian Ciobanu noted that the Tashkent International Film Festival is a real celebration of art. The Ambassador congratulated all those present on the opening of the Days of Romanian Cinema and thanked the Cinematography Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Romanian Cultural Institute for their support in organizing this event. Daniel Cristian Ciobanu expressed his conviction that bilateral relations between Romania and the Republic of Uzbekistan would continue to develop dynamically at all levels.

Romanian director Tedi Nekula presented the film "Next to Me", and actor Adrian Paduraru spoke with Tashkent audiences about various aspects of cinematography.

The Days of Romanian Cinema will be remembered as a bright event in the cooperation between Romania and the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of culture.
