Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- First Deputy Head of the Department of Investment, Industry and Trade of the city of Tashkent Azizkhon Shavkatov met with representatives of the Foreign Affairs Department of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China. The delegation was headed by Management Advisor Tian Zhanbao.

Azizkhan Shavkatov, who warmly greeted the guests, noted that relations between the Chinese regions and the city of Tashkent are rapidly developing, and spoke in detail about mutual economic indicators. He provided information on promising investment projects in a number of industries, such as the textile and food industries, information technology and tourism. He also made proposals for drawing up a memorandum of cooperation aimed at further strengthening mutual partnerships and promoting regional products at international fairs.

In turn, Tian Zhanbao noted that he came to Tashkent for the first time, and only when he stepped on our land did he feel the power and high potential of our city with an ancient history, but with amazing energy. He said that numerous negotiations between the leaders of our countries and established cooperation are now bearing fruit, and gave detailed information about the administrative and economic indicators of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. He said that the region has high potential for cooperation in a number of areas, such as agriculture, energy, livestock and textiles.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue negotiations and discuss the prospects for cooperation in more detail.
