Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A cultural festival was held at the Beijing International University of Business and Economics, in which compatriot students presented the tourism potential of Uzbekistan, Dunyo news agency reports.

The university leadership, led by the secretary of the university party committee, Huang Baoyin, took part in the event and made a detailed report on the activities and international cooperation of the university.

The festival was attended by representatives of 45 foreign diplomatic missions in China, more than 30 media representatives, professors and teachers, as well as about 2 thousand foreign students from 49 countries.

Representatives of our embassy took part in the cultural festival together with compatriot students studying at this university, and widely demonstrated the cultural and tourism potential of Uzbekistan.

Uzbek diplomats briefed the event participants in detail on the reforms implemented in recent years in the fields of science, education, culture, sports and tourism in our country, and the positive results achieved in these areas.

During the event, gratitude was expressed to the university management for providing grants and scholarships to citizens of Uzbekistan, and an agreement was reached on the further development of ties in the field of education and scientific research.

In conclusion, it was noted that holding such international youth festivals and cultural dialogues serves to understand mutual traditions, cultural heritage and spiritual values for representatives of all participating countries, and contributes to strengthening friendship and public diplomacy between the peoples of the countries.
