Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the Council of Heads of Governments of the CIS held in Sochi on 8 June 2023, the Concept for the Development of Industrial Cooperation of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Set of Measures for its Development for the Period up to 2030 were approved, the press service of the CIS Executive Committee reports .

The concept reflects the consolidated position of the Commonwealth states on the goals, major tasks, principles, mechanisms and main areas of interaction for the development of industrial cooperation. The authors of the document were the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Council for Industrial Policy of the CIS Member States and the CIS Executive Committee.

According to the developers of the Concept, the creation of the necessary conditions for the development of cooperation in the field of industry is one of the main factors for increasing the competitiveness of their economies, accelerating economic growth, strengthening national sovereignty and, ultimately, improving the welfare and quality of life of the population of the CIS member states.

The objectives of the Concept are the creation of new high-tech industries, the accelerated development and modernization of industrial production in the CIS member states, its technological renewal, the increase in production and export of competitive, innovative and science-intensive products with a high share of value added, the achievement of international standards for product quality, the creation of new jobs, increasing the level of well-being and quality of life of the population.

A set of measures for the development of industrial cooperation of the CIS member states for the period up to 2030, which is an integral part of the Concept, acts as a mechanism for its implementation and provides for the development and deepening of industrial cooperation through the implementation of an appropriate industrial policy of the Commonwealth states aimed at promoting the modernization and development of industries and industries , building their cooperative chains.
