Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In accordance with the resolution of the President of Uzbekistan, from 2021, once every two years, the following are held:

- international competitions in kurash among students of higher educational institutions in regional centers, the cities of Nukus and Tashkent;

- international kurash tournaments for the Cup of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in foreign countries - in priority order.

From 2020, once a year, the republican competition for kurash "Uzbek Polvoni" will be held among employees of state bodies, institutions and organizations.

In 2021-2025, kurash mastery schools will be gradually opened.

From the 2021/2022 academic year, the parameters of the state order for admission to study in the direction of "kurash" of the Uzbek State University of Physical Culture and Sports, specialized boarding schools of the Olympic reserve, specialized children and youth sports schools and children and youth sports schools will be doubled.

The Concept for raising the national sport of kurash to a new level until 2025 was approved.

The concept envisages, in particular, achieving the inclusion of kurash in the program of the International Olympic Games in 2028.
