Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4 August, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin in Beijing noted that China is categorically against the US deployment of medium-range ground-based missiles in the Asia-Pacific region and Europe.
On 3 August, the Russian Foreign Ministry called the US withdrawal from the Treaty on the Elimination of Intermediate-Range and Short-Range Missiles "a serious mistake." The deployment of US ground-based INFs in various regions of the world will seriously undermine regional and global security, as well as provoke a dangerous new round of the arms race.
Regarding the statement by the Russian side, Wang Wenbin noted that it hit the nail on the head, revealing the true intention of the United States to withdraw from the Treaty on the Elimination of Intermediate-Range and Short-Range Missiles.
Wang Wenbin stressed that the Chinese side calls on the American side to respond to the concerns of the international community and do more that will bring peace and stability to different regions.
